Baby Hygiene
Since babies are small and they cannot care
for themselves therefore their hygiene becomes the responsibility
of their parents. In case of both girls and boys different hygiene
methods should be deployed. If proper baby hygiene is not maintained
it could lead to inflammation, strangury or other problems when
the child grows up. Baby hygiene is no rocket science and following
simple hygiene rules for the baby can do the trick. Incase of hygiene
for baby boy with every diaper change the genitals of the baby boy
must be washed with warm water and during this process the foreskin
of the head of the penis should be moved and fatty deposits on it
should be removed which get accumulated out there.
In case the foreskin gets reddened it should be cleaned with a cotton tampon and moistened in some light manganese solution a number of times during the day. In case the skin of the baby is sensitive one could opt for dry washing with the help of oiled or wet tissues and the genitals of the baby must be washed in soap not less than four to five times a day.
The baby hygiene in case of girls is different and one needs to change the diaper of the baby girl every two hours. Since a baby girl genitals are quite sensitive and subject to infections therefore one needs to keep them clean and warm every time. Every time the diaper is changed the baby girl should be washed with warm water and soap should be used not more than once in four to five days in order to prevent the skin of the baby from drying up. You can even use various baby oils, creams and powders available in the market and use them regularly in order to prevent the natural protective skin layer of the baby from breaking up.
